2025 CCRC San Bernardino Initiatives

2025

CCRC is attentive of the critical needs for San Bernardino County children, fathers, and mothers. This year, CCRC was awarded the Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP) Grant to create the Road to Resilience Program. The Road to Resilience Program helps families learn how to best support their children while also being offered health services for a parent who is suffering from substance use. CCRC strives to have inclusive programs such as being part of the Nurturing Father’s Program (NFP). This year, the Nurturing Fathers Summit, held in the city of Ontario, brought together CCRC trainers, NFP master trainers, and fathers to grow a better relationship with their community and hear about community resources that will benefit the fathers and their family. In addition, CCRC expanded home visitation services to include San Bernardino County service area. Children and families will now have accessibility to receive support from a caring professional who will help navigate through early parenthood and share helpful tools.

The Government Relations Team located in San Bernardino County continues to strategically bring awareness around childcare policy priorities and advocacy efforts to local, state, and federal lawmakers. Here are some examples of advocacy efforts used thus far to cultivate strong relationships with lawmakers and advocates within the RIMS region.
